Review and report causes of road, waterway and aviation incidents

The Ministry of Construction requested localities to resolutely implement local traffic safety plans, strengthen management of automobile transport business activities; deploy solutions to ensure traffic safety in areas attracting a large number of tourists ; proactively enhance safety on waterways during the 2025 flood season.

Regarding the functional agencies, the Ministry of Construction requested the Vietnam Road Administration to preside over the inspection and review of existing shortcomings in the infrastructure system and road traffic organization, and synthesize a report to the ministry before May 31.

The Vietnam Maritime Administration closely coordinates with localities in handling oil spills in Ho Chi Minh City, periodically reports and proposes timely solutions; reviews and reports areas at risk of collision, high risk of collision in maritime and inland waterways, and recommends immediate and long-term solutions.

In particular, the Ministry of Construction requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to urgently report the cause, organize a meeting to review and comment on the incident of the plane skidding off the runway at Tan Son Nhat airport; and resolutely implement a plan to strengthen aviation safety during the peak summer tourist season of 2025.
