The row of lim xet trees on Le Thanh Nghi Street is nearly 10 years old. From March to May every year, this route becomes a familiar meeting place for those who love natural scenery. The flowers bloom every year, but every time standing under the tree canopy and looking up at the sky full of flowers, each person's emotions are always new and exciting like the first time they saw it.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tinh, a resident on Le Thanh Nghi Street, shared: “The flowers are very beautiful. Every time there is wind, the petals fall down, but because they are bright yellow, they do not evoke sadness, on the contrary, they make the space more fresh. For about a month now, the flowers have been blooming, making the neighborhood brighter and more joyful. Many people also come here to take photos and film.”

Not only is it a joy for flower lovers, the lim xet season also brings warm little stories from daily life. In particular, many households doing business around the area also enjoy the flower season, although sometimes they have to work harder because of cleaning.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hau, who sells breakfast on Le Thanh Nghi Street, said: “Before opening, I usually have to sweep up the fallen flowers and leaves. But in return, there is a cool breeze and beautiful flowers, who wouldn’t like that! Sometimes I can even smell a faint fragrance. Customers who come to eat often talk about flowers, the atmosphere has been much more cheerful these past few days.”

The brilliant clusters of flowers stand out against the blue sky - a scene that makes anyone passing by slow down.

Not only locals, many passersby also slow down a bit to admire the flowers, inhaling the light fragrance in the early summer air. Mr. Thai Tan Luc (in Binh Dinh ward, An Nhon town) expressed: “Because of work, I sometimes have the opportunity to pass by this road. Normally I don’t pay much attention, but today the yellow color of the flowers makes me feel more relaxed, naturally slowing down to enjoy. I think, if the city has more flower-lined roads like this, it will add more attraction to the urban space, creating more highlights for the city”.
