Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed the Decision to reorganize the National Wage Council.

(GLO)- On May 22, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed Decision No. 992/QD-TTg to reorganize the National Wage Council.

According to the Decision on restructuring, the National Wage Council (Council) has 17 members. Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Manh Khuong is the Chairman of the Council.

The Vice Chairmen of the Council include: Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Hoang Quang Phong - Vice President of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry ; Dinh Hong Thai - Vice President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.

The Council members include: 4 members representing the Ministry of Home Affairs; 4 members representing the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 3 members representing central employers' representative organizations (including 1 member representing the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, 2 members representing two central professional associations that employ a large number of workers); and 2 independent members who are experts and scientists in the fields of labor, wages, and socio -economics (excluding experts and scientists working at agencies, units, research institutes, and universities under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and central employers' representative organizations).

The Council has a Technical Unit and a Standing Unit to assist the Council. Accordingly, the Technical Unit includes a number of experts knowledgeable in the field of labor and wages from agencies and organizations whose representatives participate in the Council and scientists, researchers, and managers of ministries, branches, research institutes, and universities selected and appointed by the Council Chairman to assist the Council in developing technical reports related to the functions and tasks of the Council.

The standing body assists the Council in implementing administrative, organizational, personnel, and financial activities within the Council's functions and duties. The Minister of Home Affairs decides to use the working apparatus of the Ministry of Home Affairs as the standing body assisting the Council.
