At exactly 3:38 p.m. (local time), the plane carrying General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation landed at Minsk airport. Welcoming General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation on a state visit to the Republic of Belarus at the airport were Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak; Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov; Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Vietnam Uladzimir Baravikou; from Vietnam, Ambassador of Vietnam to Belarus Nguyen Van Ngu; officials and staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in Belarus.
Minsk Airport was brightly lit with the national flags of both countries. General Secretary To Lam and his wife stepped off the plane, and a Belarusian girl presented her with a bouquet of fresh flowers. Following traditional rituals, two Belarusian girls solemnly offered General Secretary To Lam and his wife bread and salt. Next, the General Secretary and his wife shook hands with officials from Belarus and Vietnam, then walked between two rows of honor guards to welcome them.
Immediately after landing at the airport, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, laid flowers at the Victory Monument; attended a gratitude activity, visited and presented gifts to former soldiers and experts who had made outstanding contributions to Vietnam...

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and Belarus have maintained and developed a traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with increasingly high political trust. The two sides regularly exchange delegations, especially high-level delegations, creating a foundation for cultivating and developing a close relationship that has stood the test of time.
The two sides have developed cooperation in many fields from national defense and security to economy - trade, culture, education, science and technology, people-to-people exchange, local cooperation, creating a legal framework of about 50 documents, including international treaties or agreements between ministries and branches; 9 provincial-level localities of Vietnam have established friendly and cooperative relations with 6 out of 7 provincial-level administrative units of Belarus. On the international level, the two countries regularly consult and support each other at multilateral forums and mechanisms...

Over the past 30 years, Vietnam and Belarus have built, nurtured and developed traditional friendship and good cooperation on the basis of trust, equality and mutual respect for the benefit of the people of the two countries, creating the foundation for closer and more active interaction in all fields.
The visit of General Secretary To Lam and his wife along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation will create new momentum for strengthening and expanding bilateral relations, providing orientations to further deepen the good relationship between the two countries.
