Hanoi arranges commune-level administrative units in 20 districts, towns and cities

On May 15, at the 16th Session, the Hanoi People's Council passed a Resolution approving the policy of rearranging administrative units at district and commune levels for the 2023-2025 period.

The City People's Council approved the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units in 20 districts, towns and cities in the city.

Specifically, in Ba Vi district, the entire natural area and population size of Chau Son, Phu Phuong and Tan Hong communes will be merged into Phu Hong commune.

Chuong My district, merge the entire natural area and population size of the two communes Dong Phu and Hong Phong into Hong Phu commune; merge the entire natural area and population size of the communes Phu An Nam and Hoa Chinh into Hoa Phu commune.

Me Linh district, merges the entire natural area and population of two communes Van Yen and Lien Mac into Lien Mac commune.

My Duc district, merge the entire natural area and population size of My Thanh and Bot Xuyen communes into My Xuyen commune; merge the entire natural area and population size of Doc Tin and Van Kim communes into Van Tin commune.

Phu Xuyen district, merge the entire natural area and population of the two communes Tri Trung and Hong Minh into Hong Minh commune; merge the entire natural area and population of the two communes Dai Thang and Van Hoang into Van Hoang commune; merge the entire natural area and population of the two communes Son Ha and Quang Trung into Quang Ha commune and merge the entire natural area and population of the two communes Nam Phong and Nam Trieu into Nam Phong commune.

Phuc Tho district, merge the entire natural area and population of Tho Loc and Tich Giang communes into Tich Loc commune; merge the entire natural area and population of Thuong Coc and Long Xuyen communes into Long Thuong commune; merge the entire natural area and population of Van Ha and Van Nam communes into Nam Ha commune; merge the entire natural area and population of Phuc Hoa commune into Phuc Tho town into Phuc Tho town.

Thanh Xuan District, merge the entire natural area and population size of Thanh Xuan Nam Ward and Thanh Xuan Bac Ward into Thanh Xuan Bac Ward and merge the entire natural area and population size of Kim Giang Ward and Ha Dinh Ward into Ha Dinh Ward.

Son Tay town, merges the entire natural area and population size of Le Loi, Quang Trung and Ngo Quyen wards into Ngo Quyen ward.

According to the Resolution, the Hanoi People's Council assigned the City People's Committee to complete the Documents and Project to submit to competent authorities for consideration and decision on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period of the city according to the provisions of law.

The Standing Committee of the City People's Council, the City People's Council Committees, the City People's Council Delegation Groups and the City People's Council delegates supervise the implementation of the Resolution.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and socio- political organizations coordinate to propagate, mobilize, create consensus among the people, and supervise the implementation of this Resolution./.
