Hanoi focuses on improving the quality of military recruitment in 2025

In 2024, military recruitment work will be seriously led and directed, completing 100% of military recruitment targets. Military service councils at all levels will be strengthened to ensure correct and sufficient numbers and effective operations. Military agencies at all levels will play a core role, a coordination and cooperation center in organizing and implementing military recruitment tasks. The military recruitment process will be implemented in accordance with the law and instructions from superiors, ensuring democracy, fairness, publicity, transparency, and achieving good results.

The city has done a good job of propaganda andeducation for the subjects, especially citizens of military age, to raise awareness and responsibility in performing military service through many diverse forms. Localities and functional departments and branches have done a good job of reviewing, re-examining, and grasping sources; well organizing the steps of election, preliminary selection, and approval at all levels in accordance with regulations. The Military Command, the Police of districts, towns, and cities and the Health sector have consulted with the People's Committees at the same level to establish a military service health examination council, organizing health examinations for citizens to ensure quality and on schedule.

Localities have organized well the visits and encouragement of citizens and their families who have been recruited for military service with both material and spiritual support, with a total amount of nearly 19 billion VND; organized vocational counseling and job referrals for soldiers who have completed their military service and returned to their localities. 100% of districts, towns and cities have organized training for Party members for young people preparing to join the army, recruiting 41 party members to join the army; 11 party members to join the People's Public Security service. To ensure the continued good implementation of the city's military recruitment work in 2025, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested agencies, units, departments, branches and organizations to continue to do a good job of propaganda, legal education, national defense and security education. Strengthen the leadership and direction of all levels, promote the role and responsibility of the entire political system in the process of military recruitment, in which military and police agencies play a core role.
