Regarding the information that a teacher at Dai Kim Secondary School was assaulted by a student, on the evening of September 19, the People's Committee of Dinh Cong Ward sent a report to the City People's Committee.

Accordingly, at 3:15 p.m. on September 16, in class 7A14, during the change of class, Ms. TTTH, the homeroom teacher, discovered that student TMT was holding a sharp toy that could pose a safety risk, so she asked him to hand it over. When the teacher held the object, student LGB stood up and asked her to return it.

Faced with the teacher’s determination, the LGB student pulled her hair and pinned her down to snatch the toy back. This action took place in front of many classmates. Some students drew the curtains to avoid being seen by students outside the class.

After the incident, the teacher reported to the Board of Directors. The Principal went directly to the class, asked the student to apologize publicly and asked the students sitting nearby to write a report. The students said that because student B acted too aggressively, they could not do anything.

The school also required LGB students to write a report and invited their parents to come to work that same afternoon.

The LGB student's parents were present, apologized to the teacher, and asked for permission for their child to be absent from school on September 17 for a mental health check.

On September 18, the family continued to contact, presented the test results and asked for the student to return to school as usual.

That same afternoon, the Board of Directors, homeroom teachers and parents met and agreed on a solution. Accordingly, the parents accepted responsibility, apologized to the teacher and committed to cooperating in educating their child. The teacher agreed to forgive the LGB student after he apologized, and the family asked to take the child back to manage and educate him for 10 days.

By September 19, the incident had been basically resolved by the school and the teacher’s mental state had stabilized. However, clips of the incident appeared on some social networking sites, affecting public opinion and the school’s image.

Serious incident, request police to verify and handle

Immediately after the incident, the Board of Directors of Dai Kim Secondary School organized for the offending student to directly admit his mistake and publicly apologize in front of the class. At the same time, they invited parents to come and work together to agree on educational measures, creating conditions for the student to correct his mistake.

The school also asked the family to take the child for a medical examination and psychological check-up. However, after the examination, the family has not been able to provide the school with the results of the medical examination.

At the same time, the school promptly encouraged and stabilized the teacher's spirit, avoiding the incident from causing more pressure and affecting teaching work.
