Hanoi continues to display drone light shows at West Lake

Today (March 4), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Ho District, Hanoi confirmed that there will be about 200 drones performing in the Hanoi Tourism program welcoming 2024 - Geton Hanoi 2024 and announced the decision to recognize Nhat Tan tourist area, Tay Ho District with the theme "Geton Hanoi 2024 - Tay Ho Fragrance".

"The drone show will start at 9:30 p.m. on March 9, lasting about 15 minutes, displaying flower symbols, the colors of Tay Ho, or the words "Scents of Tay Ho", "Geton Hanoi 2024". On March 8, the organizers will rehearse the program," the leader of Tay Ho district added.

The light show with hundreds of drones taking off in the night sky of West Lake promises to bring an exciting and emotional experience to the audience.

This is a unique work of artistic light, taking visitors to explore the outstanding tourist destinations typical of Hanoi tourism in 2024, starting with the destinations of West Lake with rich colors and scents.

Hanoi Tourism Program Welcomes 2024 - Geton Hanoi 2024 and announces the decision to recognize Nhat Tan tourist area, Tay Ho district with the theme "Geton Hanoi 2024 - Tay Ho Fragrance" as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).

Through the program, the capital's tourism industry hopes to continue to communicate and promote the image of the destination "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" to attract more and more tourists to Hanoi in general and Tay Ho in particular, contributing positively to the development of the capital's tourism and contributing positively to the socio-economic development of Tay Ho district.

The program takes place over two weekends (March 9-10) at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space (Trinh Cong Son walking street), Tay Ho district, Hanoi.

The series of events contributes to promoting the image of Hanoi to domestic and international friends, promoting tourism towards the goal of welcoming 27 million tourists to Hanoi in 2024, including 5.5 million international visitors; total revenue from tourists reaches 103.74 trillion VND, an increase of 11.1% compared to 2023.

Previously, at 11:30 p.m. on February 9, the New Year's Eve of the Year of the Dragon, the Hanoi - Brilliant Thang Long Art Light Festival took place in an extremely brilliant and impressive manner at the Van Cao intersection (Tay Ho district, Hanoi), attracting tens of thousands of Hanoians and tourists to enjoy the artistic light show using 2,024 drones with the theme "A day in the capital - A thousand years of history".
