Ha Tinh cancels preliminary results of investors in $1 billion urban area

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province recently canceled the preliminary selection results of investors to implement the Ham Nghi urban area with a total value of 24,000 billion VND.

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has been looking for investors to implement an urban area in Ha Tinh city and Thach Ha district, with a scale of nearly 140 hectares since 2019. By mid-2020, two investors, Vinhomes Joint Stock Company and Viet An Investment, Business and Trade Development Company Limited, were recognized by the province as having passed the preliminary selection results.

However, the locality had to cancel the preliminary selection results because two investors had confirmed in writing that they would no longer participate in the bidding. In the coming time, Ha Tinh will continue to call for investors for this urban area project.

Ham Nghi urban area is located in the planning of Ha Tinh province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, with the goal of providing full facilities such as housing, parking lots, commercial areas, services, and entertainment to serve the needs of people in Ha Tinh city, Thach Ha district, and neighboring areas. The project is about 2 km from the city center, about 2.5 km from National Highway 1A, and about 50 km from Vinh airport.

According to the documents of the Ha Tinh province planning and investment promotion conference held on May 26, the total investment capital of the Ham Nghi new urban area project has been reduced to 10,000 billion VND. However, compared to before, the scale of the project has increased slightly to 150 hectares. The current status of this project is mixed land, mostly agricultural land, not yet cleared.
