Completely different from previous matches, Thanh Hoa FC played at full speed. In the second half, HAGL Club made many adjustments in the attack, trying to push up to find an equalizer. In the 73rd minute, young striker Tran Gia Bao tapped the ball into the net from close range, shaking the net of Thanh Hoa Club. For the last 15 minutes of the match, HAGL Club increased the pressure in the hope of finding an equalizer. However, HAGL Club could not approach Thanh Hoa's goal when all 11 players of the away team retreated to their own half, playing defense.
