According to Notice No. 2767/TB-SYT dated August 8, 2023, Director of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Health Tran Kiem Hao has allowed Mr. Hoang Van Duc (born May 19, 1970) - Working unit is CDC of Thua Thien Hue province (former Director of CDC of Thua Thien Hue), to return to work unit from August 8, 2023.
Similarly, in the report No. 2768/TB-SYT dated August 8, 2023, Director of the Department of Health of Thua Thien Hue province Tran Kiem Hao allowed Mr. Ha Thuc Nhat (born February 2, 1983) - Working unit is CDC of Thua Thien Hue province (former Chief Accountant and Head of Finance and Accounting Department of CDC of Thua Thien Hue), to return to work unit from August 8, 2023.
The Director of the Provincial Department of Health informed the Provincial CDC to arrange work for Mr. Hoang Van Duc and Mr. Ha Thuc Nhat. The above notices also clearly stated that based on Decision No. 01/QD-CSDT dated July 14, 2023 of the Investigation Police Agency, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police decided to temporarily suspend the investigation of the defendants Hoang Van Duc and Ha Thuc Nhat.
At the same time, based on Decision No. 02/QD-CSKT dated July 14, 2023 of the Investigation Police Agency, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police decided to temporarily suspend the investigation of the criminal case, as well as based on Official Dispatch No. 1409/NSV-TCCC dated August 7, 2023 of the Department of Home Affairs in response to Official Dispatch No. 2725/SYT-TCCB of the Department of Health.

Previously, on February 17, 2022, the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police issued decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and execute a 4-month temporary detention order against 2 accused: Hoang Van Duc (born in 1970), residing in Vy Da ward (Hue city), Director of the Provincial CDC and Ha Thuc Nhat (born in 1983), residing in Huong Chu ward (Huong Tra town), Chief Accountant and Head of the Finance and Accounting Department of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial CDC. The above decisions were also signed by the People's Procuracy of the same level on February 17, 2023.
According to the Investigation Police Agency of Thua Thien Hue province, previously, through investigation, the provincial police discovered violations related to the procurement of equipment, chemical supplies, and protective clothing for Covid-19 prevention and control in the province. During the investigation and verification process, the police discovered that Mr. Hoang Van Duc and Mr. Ha Thuc Nhat had violated bidding regulations in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment, causing damage to state property. Searching the homes and workplaces of the defendants, the police seized many documents and cash related to the case.
Next, the Standing Committee of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee also directed the Party Committee of the provincial agencies and enterprises to carry out procedures to temporarily suspend Party activities and temporarily suspend the positions of Mr. Hoang Van Duc, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial CDC, and Mr. Ha Thuc Nhat, Chief Accountant and Head of the Finance and Accounting Department of the Thua Thien Hue CDC, after the investigation agency decided to prosecute the two men for criminal cases, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain them for the crime of "violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences" related to the Viet A Company case.
