Therefore, identifying “Safety for women and children” as a core and continuous task, the Women’s Union at all levels in the province focuses on promoting propaganda through mass media, branch and group activities and community activities. The propaganda content revolves around the reality of domestic violence, abuse of girls, signs of child abuse, etc.
In particular, propagating and disseminating the basic contents of the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, the Law on Children; lessons and skills for members and women to understand and ensure their own safety.
In localities, the Women's Union at all levels also proactively developed plans, mobilized resources and implemented many activities and models on child care,education and protection with many creative activities, suitable to local characteristics, focusing on replicating the "Parent Group" model, helping parents gain more knowledge and skills in raising children.
According to the leaders of the Provincial Women's Union, in order to better protect, care for and educate girls, the grassroots Women's Unions at all levels have focused on building and replicating effective and practical models to attract and gather women and children to participate, contributing to promoting the representative role of the Women's Union in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and girls.
The Association at all levels has built hundreds of “Trusted addresses in the community”; models of “Clubs for preventing and combating domestic violence”, “Educating children in the family not to commit crimes and social evils”, “No malnourished and dropout children”, “Happy families”…
Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien said: Besides the achieved results, the management and care of children in localities still face some difficulties, such as: Investment in infrastructure, purchasing equipment for cultural houses, sports and physical training centers, and entertainment venues for young people in some localities have not received due attention.
Child abuse, especially child sexual abuse and child injuries, still occurs in the province. The number of children breaking the law is increasing, due to the negative impact of the market economy and international economic integration...
Responding to the annual Action Month for Children, the Provincial Women's Union at all levels has coordinated with other sectors to carry out activities for children, opening communication classes for thousands of cadres, members, and women on knowledge and skills in raising and caring for children, preventing child marriage, self-protection skills, preventing violence and child abuse, etc.
In 2025, the Month of Action for Children has the theme "Educating parents in child care and protection" with a focus on intervention content and support activities appropriate to the target, location, cultural characteristics and socio-economic conditions of each locality.
The Provincial Women's Union has promptly directed to promote coordination between units at all levels in implementing Project 938 locally. The work of caring for, educating and supporting children in difficult circumstances has been carried out by sectors and organizations such as: giving gifts, scholarships, building "Learning Encouragement Homes", "Red Scarf Houses", sponsoring orphans, preventing drowning, building playgrounds...
In addition, the provincial Women's Union at all levels has strengthened propaganda activities focusing on key areas, remote areas, and groups of women and girls in special circumstances. Regularly organize training and capacity building for staff to support women in solving related social issues.
Promote research and propose feasible solutions; at the same time, effectively promote existing models to improve the quality of support and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of women, especially women and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse.
The Association at all levels coordinates with schools to organize talks on life skills, friendship, and love for children aged 10-15; reproductive health education for adolescents, propaganda on preventing and combating child abuse, etc. to help children gain more understanding about gender, practice skills, and stabilize their psychology in life. Caring for, protecting, and educating children is the responsibility not only of each family but also of the entire political system and society.
