In the days leading up to the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the large training ground, the parade and marching groups are making efforts to practice despite the harsh weather conditions of Ho Chi Minh City.

Every step, every hand gesture, every command was meticulously taken care of, creating a solemn and majestic atmosphere. Sweat soaked their backs, but all the parade groups remained solemn, determined, and ready for the great festival of the country.

Two sisters Nguyen Kim Quyen and Nguyen Quan were born and raised in Cho Moi district (An Giang province). Their father was a police officer. Since childhood, both sisters have cherished the dream of wearing the uniform of the people's police. This was also the father's last wish before he passed away.

Nguyen Kim Quyen and his younger brother Nguyen Quan were proud to be selected for the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Nguyen Kim Quyen (21 years old) is a member of the female Traffic Police, and her younger brother Nguyen Quan (19 years old) is a member of the male Mobile Police. Both are currently students at the People's Police University.

"My father once said that serving the people is a great honor. Now, my brother and I are in the parade formation together, it is an incomparable pride," Quyen shared.

To be in this honorary squad, the two sisters went through a rigorous selection process and months of hard training. During breaks, the image of the older sister bringing water to support and encourage her younger brother… is a testament to the sisterly love on the training ground.

When asked about his sister, Nguyen Quan excitedly said: "She is the one who always guides me meticulously, giving me the motivation to overcome the fatigue of the early days. Every step today is thanks to her guidance."

"She always guides me through each movement, helping me to correct it to improve it. Outside of practice, she also encourages me and helps me practice more techniques such as walking straight and hitting my hands squarely to ensure the most accurate results," Nguyen Quan said.

For months, the two sisters and their teammates practiced tirelessly, regardless of the sun or rain, together adjusting each movement to achieve precision. For them, it was not only a mission but also a way to pay tribute to the previous generation who sacrificed for peace and national unity.
