The Party Committee and the Navy Command have led and directed the promotion of propaganda about the tradition of patriotism and deep gratitude to those who fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland. Through that, educating cadres, employees and workers to clearly understand their responsibilities in implementing the military rear policy and taking care of those who have contributed to the revolution.
During the series of activities, the working delegation of the 129th Naval Division visited and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers and meritorious people being treated and cared for at the Long Dat Nursing Center for Wounded Soldiers and Meritorious People (Long Hai Commune, Ho Chi Minh City).

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tong Duc Binh, Director of Long Dat Nursing Center for War Invalids and Meritorious People, reported on the health care situation for war invalids and meritorious people: Currently, the Center is caring for 46 war invalids and meritorious people, including many elderly, seriously ill, mentally ill due to war consequences, many war invalids are unable to live on their own, completely dependent on the staff of the Center.
Colonel Bui Quang Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Navy, expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of fathers and brothers for the independence and freedom of the nation and for the peaceful life of the people. On this occasion, the Navy presented 66 gifts worth 33 million VND, contributing to encouraging the spirit of war invalids, sick soldiers and officers and employees at the center.
Also in this series of activities, the 129th Fleet visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services in Long Hai Commune, Phuoc Thang Ward (Ho Chi Minh City). At the same time, the unit organized meetings and presented gifts to relatives of war invalids and martyrs who are officers, employees and workers working at the Fleet. The total value of the gifts was over 100 million VND.
In addition to the visiting activities, the Navy also organized incense offering at the Co May Bridge Martyrs Monument and the Phuoc Thanh Battle Memorial. The activities took place in a solemn atmosphere, expressing the affection and responsibility of the Navy officers and soldiers towards the generations who sacrificed for the cause of protecting the Fatherland.
Through a series of activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the 129th Naval Division continues to promote the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, fostering feelings and camaraderie, arousing pride and the will to strive to fulfill their tasks well among the officers, employees and workers of the Naval Division. At the same time, it contributes to strengthening the people’s trust in the army, building a solid people’s heart position from the grassroots.
