Hai Duong is hot before thunderstorms

Hot weather will persist in Hai Duong area for a few days before thunderstorms appear.

According to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from the night of May 5 to 8, the hot area in the west tends to develop and gradually expand to the east, the cloudy areas change, sunny days, some hot days, some rainy nights, strong southeast winds, highest temperature 35 degrees Celsius.

Around May 9-10, a weak cold air mass is strengthened and compressed, pushing the hot air mass southward. The weather in Hai Duong province is cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. During this period, the weather is relatively cool with temperatures mainly fluctuating between 24 - 31 degrees Celsius.

In the following days, the hot area in the west tends to develop and expand to the east, the weather is cloudy, no rain at night, sunny during the day, southeast wind level 2.

Experts warn that heat combined with low humidity can increase the risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity. Heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.

During rainy days, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds can knock down trees, damage homes, roads, infrastructure and threaten human lives.
