Accordingly, the 12th Red Flamboyant Festival will be held on a city scale, associated with the important occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025).
In particular, at this event, Hai Phong was honored to become the second locality in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City, to be awarded the title of Heroic City - a reward from the Party and State in recognition of the port city's great contributions in the struggle to protect the Fatherland.
The highlight of the series of activities is a special art program with the theme "Hai Phong - 70 years of faith and aspiration to rise up" , taking place on the evening of May 13 at the North Song Cam Political - Administrative Center Square.
The program was elaborately staged with the participation of more than 13,000 delegates, modern lighting effects system, artistic fireworks and more than 1,000 professional artists and actors.
Many famous artists and singers will participate, such as People's Artist Khanh Hoa , People's Artist Nhat Thuan, People's Artist Pham Thu Ha, singers Tung Duong, Soobin Hoang Son, Phuong Linh...
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, in addition to the opening music night of the festival, the city simultaneously organized more than 100 activities, programs, and events on socio-economics, culture, arts, sports, and tourism...
Highlights in the series of events celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day include the groundbreaking and inauguration of 7 key projects; and the organization of fireworks displays at the same time at 6 locations in the area.
In particular, Hai Phong City also supported 10 million VND for each village and residential group in the whole area to organize activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of liberation, creating a joyful, excited and united atmosphere for all people.
At the same time, Hai Phong City gave gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, policy beneficiaries, former city leaders, doctors, teachers, and meritorious artists...
The total budget for organizing the anniversary and festival activities is expected to be more than 90 billion VND, of which socialized sources account for 35 billion VND, and the city budget contributes 55 billion VND.
