At least two people were killed and 29 injured in a serious fire that broke out at an apartment building in Seoul, South Korea on the morning of December 25.
According to Yonhap news agency, the fire broke out at around 4:57 a.m. (local time) on the third floor of a 27-story apartment building in Dobong District, Seoul. Two men and one woman were taken to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest. Two of them later died.
During the evacuation of the building, 28 people were injured, many of them from smoke inhalation. Rescuers took 20 of them to the hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, more than 200 firefighters and 57 fire engines were mobilized to the scene.
After 3 hours of effort, the fire of unknown cause was brought under control.
