Gathering in front of the Serbian Parliament , Vucic's supporters waved national flags and chanted "Vucic, Serbian" and "Serbia" as loudspeakers played patriotic songs.
"You are the ones who are defending peace , stability and constitutional order," Serbian parliament speaker Ana Brnabic told government supporters.
This is considered the largest pro-government rally so far this year in Serbia. This rally is also to counter the wave of student protests initiated by opposition forces last Saturday.

The wave of protests against the Serbian government began after the roof collapse of a railway station in the city of Novi Sad, which killed 16 people earlier this year. The incident became the impetus for a series of protests by the opposition, with accusations of corruption.
Although a series of high-ranking Serbian leaders resigned or were dismissed, including then Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, as well as the Minister of Construction , the Minister of Trade and the Mayor of Novi Sad, it did not calm the wave of protests that later took on a political color.
Serbian riot police sealed off the area around pro-government protesters on Wednesday to separate them from anti-government protesters. Pro- and anti-government factions clashed last week.
The political situation in Serbia has been very complicated since the general election last December, which was won by Mr. Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Many protests by the pro-Western opposition took place in this country to protest the election results.
Serbia under Mr Vucic has maintained close ties with Russia, especially in the energy and defence sectors, and has tried to remain neutral amid tensions between the West and Russia.
Mr Vucic has accused the protests of being a plot by “foreign forces” to overthrow a “free and independent Serbia”. He has also alleged that Western intelligence agencies and the “Deep State” are funding and inciting anti-government movements in Serbia.
