Dong Thap University also adjusted the admission combination for many pedagogical majors. All pedagogical majors of basic subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology of the school have main subjects in the admission combination. In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training noted that for training programs, majors, and groups of majors that use many combinations and admission methods, review the combinations and admission methods; select the combination of subjects for admission to ensure that it is based on the requirements of basic knowledge and core competencies that candidates need to have to study. Particularly for teacher training majors, the combination of subjects for admission or the entrance threshold must have specific requirements for the corresponding subject knowledge.

Medical admission group already has biology or chemistry

Buon Ma Thuot University of Medicine and Pharmacy also made similar adjustments. Previously, the school planned to enroll 7 health science majors including: medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health, traditional medicine, preventive medicine, medical testing technology. With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the school allows candidates to choose a combination of 3 subjects, of which 2 are compulsory subjects according to the school's regulations: math-physics, math-chemistry, math-biology. With the combination of 2 compulsory subjects of math-physics, candidates can choose 1 subject with the highest score among biology, chemistry, literature, foreign language, information technology, technology. This leads to the case where candidates may not choose biology or chemistry but use other subjects to still be able to participate in the admission exam for the school's health science majors. At that time, the combination of subjects for admission to health majors of this school did not include the core subjects of biology and chemistry.

However, according to the latest information, the school has removed the combination of 2 compulsory subjects: math-physics and only retains the combination of 2 compulsory subjects: math-biology and math-chemistry. Candidates applying for admission to the school's majors based on their high school graduation exam scores can choose a combination of 3 subjects in 2 ways, including: math + biology + 1 subject with the highest score (among the subjects: chemistry, physics, literature, foreign languages, informatics, technology); math + chemistry + 1 subject with the highest score (among the subjects: biology, physics, literature, foreign languages, informatics, technology). Thus, with this adjustment, candidates applying for admission to the school's majors based on their high school graduation exam scores must use a combination of biology or chemistry in addition to math.

Similarly, Hoa Binh University also adjusted the admission combinations for medical and traditional medicine majors to recruit 5 combinations, of which 4 combinations have math and biology, the remaining combination is math - physics - chemistry. Previously, the school announced the admission of many combinations that are not in the traditional way for medical, traditional medicine, pharmacy and nursing majors such as: math - literature - English, math - physics - English, literature - math - geography. Medical and pharmaceutical majors require in-depth knowledge of biology, but 4 out of 5 admission combinations do not have this core subject. Thus, with the above adjustment, the school has eliminated and replaced strange combinations that do not have biology in the admission combinations for medical and traditional medicine majors.
