Thousands of people attend the opening ceremony of the largest hot air balloon festival in Dong Nai

Attending the opening ceremony were former VicePresident Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Cao Van Quang; Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung, along with leaders of departments, branches, enterprises, units participating in the hot air balloon performance and thousands of people inside and outside the province.

The 2025 Dong Nai Hot Air Balloon Festival and Investment Promotion is held during the historic days of April, when the whole country is looking forward to the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The event demonstrates the aspiration of "Flying to Dong Nai! The heroic spirit of the arduous Eastern region" and the spirit of innovation and creativity of Dong Nai in the new period of development and integration.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Minh Dung said that the Hot Air Balloon Festival is a unique cultural and tourism event, marking a new development step in the strategy to promote the image and tourism potential of Dong Nai.

The Festival is also an opportunity for Dong Nai to build a unique tourism product brand, creating strong appeal, attracting a large number of people, domestic and international tourists to participate, thereby promoting the image of the tourist destination brand, the land, and the culture of Dong Nai people.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the Hot Air Balloon Festival is also an important occasion for the province to convey many messages to domestic and foreign investors about the image of a Dong Nai full of potential and investment advantages, along with the efforts and determination of the provincial leaders in pursuing the goal of socio-economic development, serving the interests of the people and businesses.

According to Dong Nai Province Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Dong Nai identifies Long Thanh International Airport and Dong Nai River as new driving forces for breakthrough development.

By 2030, Dong Nai strives to become a civilized, modern, high-growth province with a dynamic economic development and a leader in aviation economic development, high-tech industry, innovation, and by 2050, it will become a centrally-governed city, a center of international trade, tourism, and services associated with world-class urban areas, focusing on green economy and circular economy and achieving the Net Zero goal.

The organization of the Festival aims to contribute to building the image of Dong Nai province to tourists, people and the domestic and foreign-invested business community. Thereby, promoting tourism, promoting cultural exchange, promoting the development of the province's smokeless industry, following the development orientation of Dong Nai province; at the same time, attracting businesses and corporations to continue investing, expanding, developing, and accompanying the province in the coming time.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place from April 27 to 30, 2025. During the event, free hot air balloon performances and experiences will take place in the morning and afternoon. Specifically, the morning from 6:30 to 8:30, the afternoon from 16:00 to 18:00. Visitors are free to visit the hot air balloon performance area.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee granted investment certificates to 4 enterprises with registered capital of nearly 178 million USD.
