Encourage union members and young people to actively participate in environmental protection

(DN) - On the morning of May 24, at the Cultural, Sports and Community Learning Center of Lam San commune (Cam My district), the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union jointly organized the 2nd Green Sunday Launching Ceremony; implementing a model of solid waste classification at the source in response to the Diversity of Life Week associated with the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho in 2025.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hieu Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union, said that Dong Nai is a province with rapid industrial development but also faces many environmental pressures. In recent times, the Youth Union at all levels has organized many activities to contribute to environmental protection.

To continue effectively implementing environmental protection activities and responding to climate change, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union requested that all levels of the Youth Union, members and youths promote propaganda work, raise awareness and encourage members and youths to actively participate in environmental protection. Orient and support youth to develop green economy and circular economy, contributing to minimizing negative impacts on the environment.

In addition, effectively maintain youth volunteer teams and green transformation models; handle black spots of environmental pollution; guide people to classify solid waste at source, process household waste into products for agriculture ... Continue to plant, care for and protect trees and forests to contribute to the successful implementation of the Project to Plant One Billion Trees in the period 2021-2025...

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented 40 gifts of necessities and trash bins for waste classification at source to households in Lam San commune.

After the launching ceremony, cadres, union members and young people planted trees to respond to the Tree Planting Festival to forever remember Uncle Ho and the Biodiversity Week. The organizing committee also deployed a model of sorting waste at source; booths to exchange waste for gifts; and deployed teams to distribute leaflets to promote and encourage people to sort waste at source...
