Looking at Ho Van Dan (born in 2006, a second-year student at Da Nang College) confidently presenting a group assignment entirely in English in front of his lecturers and friends, few people would think that a year ago, he was a shy student, especially... afraid of talking to strangers.
Ho Van Dan is the eldest son in a Bru-Van Kieu family in the highlands of Quang Tri province. His family's circumstances were difficult, his parents were farmers, Dan and his younger brother tried hard to study. During his years at the province's ethnic boarding school, Dan had the opportunity to learn about and connect with PNV.
In 2024, Ho Van Dan became a student of the IT college training program jointly taught by Da Nang College and PNV.

Another student from the above program is Le Thi Bich Quyen (born in 2004, final year student). Quyen is from Gia Lai province, because of her family's financial difficulties, she temporarily stopped studying and worked part-time to support her family. In the midst of uncertainty, she was connected with PNV and was fortunate to receive a full scholarship in IT at Da Nang College.
Overcoming her initial concerns and with the encouragement of her family, Quyen went to Da Nang to study alone. “My goal is to continue studying and, further, to have a stable job to take care of myself and my family,” Quyen said. Currently, Quyen is interning at a company in Da Nang city.

There are currently 118 students studying the IT college training program jointly implemented by Da Nang College and PNV, one-third of whom are ethnic minorities.
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a college degree from Danang College and an international certificate from Passerelles Numériques. The above training program has been jointly implemented by the two parties since 2017.
In the period 2010 - 2019, PNV cooperated with Danang University to provide a 2-year intermediate IT training program for students. All costs of scholarships, training, accommodation and living expenses are sponsored by PNV. Since 2010, nearly 700 students nationwide have been supported by this program.
According to PNV, from January to August every year, the program organizes recruitment exams in provinces and cities in the Central Highlands region including Quang Tri, Da Nang, Gia Lai and Kon Tum, with contents such as program introduction and IT career orientation; logic, math and English exams; personal interviews and family background surveys.
Ms. Vo Hoang Thuy Trang, PNV Country Director said: "The purpose of the program is to help young people in difficult circumstances continue their college education and improve their life skills and self-development."

Mr. Ho Viet Ha, Principal of Da Nang College, said that during the training process, Da Nang College teaches related professional subjects to students, and PNV participates in guiding soft skills and foreign languages.
In addition, the school and PNV cooperate with businesses and units to organize academic workshops, exchanges, career orientation, business tours, specialized training... for students to accumulate practical experience. These are the foundations and provisions that help students with difficult circumstances like Dan, like Quyen... have confidence in their journey of learning and future development.
Many students do not have any knowledge of IT when they first enter school, but after 3 years of training, by the time they graduate, they have mastered the knowledge and soft skills. This is the luggage for them to confidently interview for jobs and adapt quickly to the working environment. Most of them find stable jobs after graduation.
