Mr. Tran Nhat Tuan participates in voluntary blood donation.
Mr. Tuan started his blood donation journey in 2007, when he was a freshman at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Talking about his first time participating in HMTN, he confided: Like many others participating in HMTN for the first time, I could not help but feel worried and nervous. But after that, I became more confident, had a fuller and deeper understanding of HMTN activities. Since then, I have become more passionate about this activity and am always ready to participate.
In his second year of university, Mr. Tuan became a member of the HMTN Student Club of Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy. This marked a major turning point in his HMTN journey. In addition to regular blood donation, he is also willing to donate blood at the hospital when there is an emergency, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility to the community.
After graduating from university in 2013, Mr. Tuan worked at Thai Binh Medical College. Promoting the spirit of youth volunteering for the community, he continued to participate in HMTN and actively "spread the fire" to the community to share drops of red blood. Mr. Tran Quang Quynh, Head of the Blood Donation Club of Thai Binh Medical College shared: When I was a second-year student, Mr. Tuan encouraged me to donate blood. He not only talked but also told me his own blood donation stories, along with the benefits of blood donation. Those practical and inspiring shares made me decide to participate in blood donation. Since then, HMTN has become a habit in my life.
In mid-2023, Mr. Tran Nhat Tuan transferred to the Social Insurance Agency of Vu Thu district. Although he is no longer directly involved in the medical environment, Mr. Tuan is still full of enthusiasm for the voluntary blood donation movement. Not only participating in concentrated blood donation campaigns in the district, Mr. Tuan also tries to arrange time to participate in blood donation campaigns organized by Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and Thai Binh Medical College. Up to now, Mr. Tuan has donated blood 22 times, of which 6 times he donated blood with a volume of 350ml. In particular, he also mobilized nearly 1,300 people to donate blood, contributing significantly to the blood reserve to save lives. For Mr. Tuan, each drop of blood donated is not a physical loss but a meaningful sharing. It is giving to bring hope, a way for him to contribute to spreading kindness in the community. It is this strong belief that has become a strong motivation, helping him maintain his tireless blood donation journey for nearly two decades, regardless of his position.
Mr. Tran Nhat Tuan's tireless contributions have been recognized with many certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , important and urgent tasks; along with solutions and implementation instructions.
