Nearly 20 years - a journey to preserve the essence of art

The Minh Long ceramic musical instrument collection is a story about the journey of combining tradition and modernity, where ceramic art is “reborn” in every musical note. Each instrument is a living work, containing the breath of time and the passion of the artisans.

According to the representative of Minh Long Ceramics, to create this instrument, the artisans spent more than 10 years conceiving the idea and another 5-7 years to turn the dream into reality. Every little detail was carefully taken care of, and the assembly process alone lasted more than 2 years - a period of time when each piece was attached together by hand and heart.

“The violin, with its elegant shape and clear sound, is a declaration of creativity beyond all limits. It is not only a musical instrument but also a symbol of courage, when facing the biggest challenge in the ceramic industry,” said a representative of Minh Long Ceramics.

The process of creating a violin is both a technical challenge and a journey to affirm passion and dedication to art. As the artisans themselves shared: "When we started working, we found it very difficult, we could not imagine it before". However, it was their perseverance and love for the profession that helped them overcome their limits, creating masterpieces that have both time and artistic value.

Not stopping there, other traditional musical instruments in the collection also have a beauty that seems to come out of a fairy tale. Traditional patterns are meticulously carved, combined with delicate colors, highlighting the intersection between the old and the modern. Minh Long Company representative said that porcelain is inherently hard, strong and brittle, which is completely contrary to the requirements for flexibility and the ability to change the sound of musical instruments. But it is this difference that creates an opportunity for breakthrough creativity in Minh Long's porcelain musical instruments.

Despite the potential conflict between the physical properties of porcelain and the need for flexible sound, Minh Long artisans have overcome all to create a violin with a sensitive, lively sound, sharp to every detail. The sound of the violin is clear and elegant, creating a unique difference.

Meritorious Artist Hai Phuong once shared that the sound of a ceramic zither is very clear, can perform Vietnamese songs fully, demonstrating the technique of a traditional zither but has a distinct clarity and brilliance that wooden instruments cannot have.
