Famous for his side job as a beer brewer using a traditional German recipe that has been around for hundreds of years, two years ago artist Benjamin Schiller decided to change his living region. He and his wife returned to Vietnam to paint on the banks of the Saigon River.

Benjamin Schiller confided: "I don't paint to tell stories. I paint because there are things that cannot be expressed in words. Each brushstroke is a heartbeat, each color is a thought. The painting may be chaotic, rough, sometimes messy, but it is alive. I don't let emotions drift aimlessly but always try to anchor them, give them shape and structure, even when everything seems uncertain.

Painter Phung Thanh Ha confided: "I don't paint to create an image. I paint to touch the unnameable, to be myself and to live fully in that moment."
