Kieu singing and Canh Duong lullabies are national intangible cultural heritages.

On November 13, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province said that the Kieu singing and Canh Duong lullabies have just been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as national intangible cultural heritage.

Hat Kieu is also called Tro Kieu, when singing, the actors both sing and act. Hat Kieu usually has a team of up to dozens of people to play the roles of characters in The Tale of Kieu by the great poet Nguyen Du.

This unique singing genre is known by many people in Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Trach District and Ba Don Town (Quang Binh). In particular, in Tuyen Hoa District, Lam Lang Village, Chau Hoa Commune is known as "Kieu Village", because everyone in the village can sing and recite many verses of Kieu.

Canh Duong Lullaby is a lullaby sung by men in Canh Duong commune, originating from the process of production and daily life. In this Canh Duong area, people mainly work at sea, their lives are drifting, so homesickness and missing their loved ones are always present in them.

Recently, Canh Duong lullaby has received attention from everyone and especially the local government has strongly promoted its development, spreading it more widely to the people.

Currently, the whole Quang Binh province has 10 national intangible cultural heritages.
