Recently, Haval has also leaked information about launching a new SUV with a very aggressive style, often seen in Mercedes-Benz G-Class or Land Rover warriors.
The Haval Xianglong SUV in China is expected to be equipped with Great Wall's latest Hi4 intelligent electric hybrid four-wheel drive system. The new vehicle's internal codename is B26.
The exterior of the Haval Xianglong is square and sturdy. The family-style front is designed with personalized details. The classic round headlights are easily recognizable.
The grille style is very aggressive with 3 double bars and Haval logo. The car is equipped with anti-scratch protection panels on the front and lower part of the doors, and luggage racks are added on the roof, matching its aggressive style.
The rear of the car also uses a square shape, the square split taillights are also classic style, creating the feeling of a Land Rover Defender. Under the rear of the car, the new car is equipped with an optional tow hook, the total weight of the semi-trailer is 750 kg to 1,500 kg.
The Haval Xianglong has a body length of 4,800 mm, a width of 1,916 mm and a height of 1,822 mm, while the wheelbase is 2,738 mm. Thus, the car is significantly smaller than the "original" Land Rover Defender and is only on par with a Hyundai Santa Fe or Kia Sorento.
The powerful 5-spoke black painted wheels, or multi-spoke, are available in 18-inch and 19-inch sizes, and can be combined with 245/60 and 245/55 tires.
The Haval Xianglong is available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain in two variants. The base model uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine working with a 70 kW (94 hp) electric motor at the front and a 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor at the rear. Those looking for more performance can opt for a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid, with an 80 kW (108 hp) front electric motor and a 150 kW (201 hp) rear electric motor.
The interior of the Haval Xianglong has not been revealed, but it can be predicted that the car will also have many display screens similar to many other Chinese cars recently launched on the market.
