Impressed with the barn raising thousands of buffaloes and cows, with a closed waste treatment system, protecting the environment. Mr. Bac Van Muoi, Director of the Cooperative, led us to visit the model and told us about the early days of the Cooperative's establishment: Realizing that the locality has a lot of hilly land, along the river, favorable for growing grass, and the people have experience in raising buffaloes and cows, even though they are still small, so in March 2022, I boldly mobilized my brothers and friends to establish a Cooperative, with 10 members, to develop a model of raising buffaloes and cows for fattening and providing breeding animals for markets inside and outside the province.
At first, the members went to neighboring communes to buy skinny buffaloes and cows to raise in quarantine. During the care process, they always strictly followed the quarantine process, fully vaccinated against diseases such as foot and mouth disease, lumpy skin disease, anthrax, etc. At the same time, they supplemented protein-rich foods such as silage, brewer's dregs, and bathed them with a misting system for 7-8 hours a day when the weather was hot.

Thanks to scientific breeding, the buffalo and cow herd quickly recovers its health. After about 2 months of good care, each cow will gain an average of 40-60 kg, earning a profit of 2.5-3 million VND. Each batch, the cooperative raises nearly 1,000 cows, the rest are raised by households. To ensure food sources, the cooperative grows 10 hectares of elephant grass, collects 100 tons of straw, beer residue and agricultural by-products to ferment as reserve food for the buffalo and cow herd. Currently, each year, the cooperative raises and sells more than 2,000 buffalo, beef and breeding cows to the market.
In addition, the Cooperative has invested in machinery to produce the specialty of Thai ethnic buffalo and beef jerky. Bac Muoi dried buffalo meat has been recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards. Since the beginning of the year, the Cooperative has produced about 10 tons of dried meat to serve the market in and outside the province. In addition, the Cooperative has also developed additional products such as Chinese sausage, buffalo tendon, shredded beef, and smoked pork belly, supplying restaurants and eateries in the area and selling via social networks, bringing in revenue of more than 2 billion VND per year. The Cooperative creates stable jobs for 10 regular workers and 10 seasonal workers, with an average income of about 9 million VND/person/month.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Ha Commune, said: Khoa Village Agricultural Service Cooperative is the leading flag in local economic development. Not only is it good at doing business, the Cooperative is also a pioneer in changing farmers' production thinking, shifting from small-scale production to concentrated linkages towards goods. The success of the Cooperative has significantly contributed to the construction of new rural areas, creating jobs, increasing income and ensuring social security. The success of the Cooperative has encouraged Cooperatives, business households and farmers in the area to continue their efforts and strive to become rich on their homeland.
