Effectiveness of the model "Women's Union 5 have, 3 clean"

With the enthusiasm, solidarity and sense of responsibility of women members, the model "Women's Union 5 yes, 3 clean" in Trung Son area, Cam Khe commune has created a strong influence, contributing to building a prosperous and happy family, developing the economy, building a bright - green - clean - beautiful residential area.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy - President of the Women's Union of Cam Khe commune informed: "The model "Women's Union of 5 yes, 3 clean" is the inheritance of the criteria of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" but at a higher level to suit the new stage. The model was chosen by the Women's Union of the old Cam Khe district as a pilot at the Women's Union of Trung Son area, old Son Tinh commune (now Cam Khe commune). Up to now, the model has been effective, and many Women's Unions in the commune have learned and followed.

The model "Women's Union 5 have, 3 clean" has 8 criteria including: Having a safe house, having a sustainable livelihood, having health, having knowledge, having a cultured lifestyle, clean house, clean alley, clean fields. In 2023, when launching the model, there were 35 members participating. Up to now, the model has had 55 members participating. Ms. Duong Thi Ly - Head of the Women's Union of Trung Son area said: "When starting to implement the model, we determined that propaganda and mobilization work must go one step ahead. The members are very enthusiastic, both learning and sharing experiences, striving together to achieve each criterion, using actual results as motivation to spread the model. After more than 2 years of participating in the model, the number of member families meeting the criteria has increased. We continue to propagate and mobilize so that 100% of women's member families participate in the model."

Members of the model "Women's Association of 5 Yes, 3 Clean" in Trung Son area performed at the National Great Unity Day.

To raise awareness and create changes in action in each member, the association regularly organizes thematic activities, communicates about gender equality, reproductive health, family planning; guides women to classify garbage, maintain environmental hygiene, participate in labor days to clean up village roads and alleys. In particular, the association promotes the spirit of mutual love, promptly supports members in difficulty.

Not only stopping at propaganda activities, the model is also closely linked with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", building advanced new rural areas. The criteria of "clean house, clean alley, clean fields" are regularly implemented, becoming the routine of member households.

Every month, women's groups maintain "Green Sunday", collect garbage, plant flowers along the roads, and beautify the residential area. Many roads in Trung Son area have now become more beautiful and clean, creating a new look for the countryside. In addition, the association also focuses on improving the spiritual life of its members. Folk dance, sports , and mass art clubs are maintained regularly, creating a healthy playground, helping women exercise and relieve stress after working hours. Many exciting and bustling folk dance performances have become a characteristic of Trung Son women in local festivals and holidays. Ms. Dao Thi Lan - a member of the model shared: "By participating in the model, women not only learn how to take care of their families but also care about the community. Each person becomes an active propagandist in maintaining environmental hygiene, behaving civilly, contributing to building a beautiful lifestyle in the residential area. Since participating in the model, I have not only changed my way of thinking and doing in daily life, but also felt the joy of making a small contribution to building a clean, beautiful and friendly residential area."

To continue to promote the model's effectiveness, the Trung Son Women's Association aims to: Strengthen flexible propaganda in small groups, suitable to the conditions of members; build a branch fund to support women in difficulty in borrowing capital to develop production; expand the recruitment of new members, creating a widespread movement throughout the commune.

With the achieved results, Trung Son Women's Union deserves to be a bright spot in the movement "Family of 5 haves, 3 cleans", contributing significantly to the construction of new advanced rural areas of Cam Khe commune.
