At the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Long, Principal of Hanoi College of Tourism, said that he encouraged students to ask directly and clearly to get answers.
A female student asked a question. She and her friends wondered why the official document stating the payment for each A80 practice session was 80,000 VND, not 60,000 VND as they received.
Mr. Pham Van Long informed that at first, the Ministry of Finance proposed to pay 80,000 VND for each training session, but later only approved 60,000 VND/session.
When talking about this, Mr. Long asked the general administration department to immediately pick up the decision on this issue from the Ministry of Finance.
According to him, this is an approval fee for all schools participating in this event, possibly because the school did not inform the students in a timely manner.
“The State approved payment of 60,000 VND for a normal practice session, 180,000 VND for a preliminary and final rehearsal. The school paid 540,000 VND for 3 preliminary rehearsals. Each official session was divided into 200,000 VND, with 2 official sessions so the school had an expense of 400,000 VND,” Mr. Pham Van Long explained.
When students asked why when they signed the receipt, the amount was not clearly stated on the paper?
Regarding this issue, the Principal acknowledged that this was an administrative error: "Teachers thought very simply that when students received money, they wrote the amount down, because there were many documents. Teachers did not explain, so students considered it a false signature. The school would like to learn from this issue."
