"Football is passion. I would like to send my deepest thanks to everyone at Spurs who have appreciated and shared my passion and strong style of football as a coach," coach Antonio Conte shared on Instagram after agreeing to "go their separate ways" with Tottenham.
"A special thank you to the fans who have always supported and appreciated me, it was unforgettable to hear them sing my name. Our journey together has come to an end, I wish you all the best for the future," Conte added.

Previously, after the 3-3 draw with Southampton on March 19, Conte spent nearly 10 minutes criticizing Tottenham players as "selfish people who don't dare to cope with pressure", and asserted that Spurs would not be able to succeed with such players.
The criticism was the last straw, causing the relationship between the Italian strategist and some of the players in the team to completely break down. Many members of the team put pressure on the board, demanding that Conte be fired immediately and waiting to work with a new coach when the Premier League returns after two weeks of FIFA Days.
After Conte's speech, Tottenham announced his departure by mutual consent. Speaking about the decision to part ways with Conte, Chairman Daniel Levy said: "We have 10 games left in the Premier League. Everyone must fight their best to qualify for the Champions League.
The most important thing is unity. We need to face difficulties to bring the highest possible results for the team, thereby being worthy of the fans' affection."
The London team will not rush to appoint another coach to replace Conte, but will appoint his assistant, Cristian Stelleini, as interim manager with support from Ryan Mason (first team coach).
According to British media, Tottenham is racing with Real Madrid to appoint coach Julian Nagelsmann (the German strategist was recently fired by Bayern Munich) in the summer of 2023.
Coach Antonio Conte took over at Tottenham on November 2, 2021, replacing his sacked predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo. He helped the team finish fourth in the Premier League last season and qualify for this season's Champions League. As of his dismissal, Conte had led Tottenham in 76 matches, with a win rate of 53.95% in 41 matches, along with 12 draws and 23 defeats.
Tottenham have been eliminated from the Champions League this season, losing to AC Milan in the round of 16, and have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Sheffield United in the fifth round. In the Premier League, they are fourth with 49 points from 28 games, but Newcastle are second with just two points less and two games in hand.
