Coach Polking highly appreciates Thai-League champions

(NLDO) - Hanoi Police Club will host Buriram United in the first leg of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1 final at 7:00 p.m. on May 14.

Coach Polking has a lot of experience and understands Thai football well after nearly 10 years working in the land of golden temples. Therefore, when leading the Hanoi Police Club to rematch Buriram United in the first leg final of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1, the Brazilian coach wants his students to be cautious and focused on the game to achieve positive results.

Hanoi Police have almost no chance of winning the V-League championship this season.

At the press conference on May 13, Mr. Polking highly appreciated the strength of Buriram United Club as this team possesses many experienced players with good professional qualifications, who are pillars of the Thai national team, along with a team of high-quality foreign players.

Despite the absence of striker Suphanat Mueanta due to injury, according to coach Polking, this does not greatly affect the quality of Buriram United's squad.

Coach Poliking wants his students to put all their efforts into winning the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1 championship title.

"Suphanat is a good and excellent player, but Buriram does not only have Suphanat, they also have many excellent Thai and foreign players. I believe Buriram has enough strength and good squad depth to prepare for this match" - the former coach of the Thai national team commented.

Previously, in the group stage, Hanoi Police had won 2-1 against Buriram right at Hang Day Stadium. This was a match in which Quang Hai and his teammates showed a reasonable game plan, taking advantage of good opportunities to score.

Quang Hai and coach Polking are confident of achieving positive results when facing the Thai-League champion.

However, coach Polking affirmed that the rematch with Buriram United is completely different, because the result will determine the "throne" of the 2024-2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1. "Buriram has made many changes in terms of players and squad arrangement. They have just won the Thai championship and are full of enthusiasm towards the goal of winning the final match of the top Southeast Asian playground."

Also attending the press conference, midfielder "conductor" Quang Hai shared: "Hanoi Police have the advantage of playing at home.
