Coach Cristiano Roland has just finalized the list of 30 U16 Vietnam players to prepare for the 2025 CFA Team China U16 International Tournament. This is an important playground for the plan to participate in the 2026 Asian U17 qualifying round of Vietnamese youth football.

The tournament is an opportunity for the coaching staff to review the squad and help young players gain international competition experience. The faces summoned this time come from training centers such as PVF, Viettel , Hanoi, SLNA and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Some notable names include: Goalkeeper Ly Xuan Hoa, who won the title of Best Goalkeeper at the 2024 National U15 Tournament, striker Nguyen Van Duong, the top scorer and best player of the tournament; midfielder Chu Ngoc Nguyen Luc, a factor who participated in the 2025 AFC U17 Championship.

According to the plan, U16 Vietnam will gather and practice at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center from May 10. On May 23, the whole team will leave for Inner Mongolia (China) to participate in the tournament from May 28 to June 1, with the participation of strong opponents including U16 Australia, U16 Saudi Arabia and host China.

These strong opponents are valuable opportunities for young players to "test their mettle" and improve their professional skills through international competition.
