Spanish coach calls nearly 2m tall face to join Indian team to play Vietnam team

Recently, Coach Manolo Márquez announced the list of 26 players of the Indian National Team to prepare for the international friendly tournament taking place at Thien Truong Stadium ( Nam Dinh ). Accordingly, the legend of Indian football - Sunil Chhetri is not on the list because this 40-year-old striker has announced his retirement from international football.

Among the 26 players of the Indian national team, the most notable is goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu with an outstanding height of 1m97. After Sunil Chhetri retired from the national team, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu is the most experienced player in the squad of the South Asian representative with 74 appearances.

During the period 2014-2017, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu played in the Europa League (European Cup C2). Besides, some other notable players of the Indian national team were also called up such as Anirudh Thapa, Manvir Singh or Subhasish Bose.

Two years ago, the Indian team also came to Vietnam to participate in a friendly tournament during FIFA Days. The Vietnamese team at that time, under the guidance of coach Park Hang Seo, won with a score of 3-0.
