Coach Dinh Hong Vinh is expected to oversee the training sessions of the Vietnamese national team, preparing for two friendly matches against Nam Dinh FC and Hanoi Police FC on September 4th and 7th, with the aim of reviewing the squad and testing new players.

A notable aspect of this training camp is that the Vietnamese national team includes many players who have rarely or never been called up under coach Kim Sang-sik, with more than 10 names out of a total of 24 players.

Even after winning a historic gold medal with the Vietnam U23 team at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines in 2019, this former player proactively returned to the island nation to enroll in English classes for his studies and work.

Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong has helped Ha Tinh FC become the most difficult team to beat in the V-League.

In terms of expertise, coach Dinh Hong Vinh will have strong support from coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, the former head coach of Ha Tinh Club who led the team to an unbeaten run in the V-League 2024-2025.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong is a rather special case in Vietnamese football. The coach, born in 1977, comes from a football family, with his father being the veteran coach Nguyen Thanh Vinh. He trained in the youth team and later played for SLNA.

Throughout his coaching career, Mr. Cong has gained unique experiences that few others have matched, having worked at top youth academies in Vietnam such as The Cong Viettel , SLNA, Da Nang, and VSH (owned by the Van Sy Hung - Van Sy Thuy brothers, who provided young players for Hanoi FC).

Thanks to this, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong has gained a much broader perspective than some of his colleagues who often stick with just one team when coaching youth teams, absorbing and refining the strengths of each place to create something essential for himself.

This has created a very unique vision for Coach Thanh Cong, as he is famous for bringing in underutilized players elsewhere and helping them unleash their potential to become formidable fighters at Ha Tinh Club.

Coach Thanh Cong's keen eye will be perfectly suited to the specific characteristics of this training camp, where the Vietnamese national team's coaching staff, in addition to checking familiar faces, will also experiment and give opportunities to new talents, who will make up 10 out of 24 players.
