Accordingly, based on the water level of Ta Trach Lake at 2:00 p.m. on December 28, which is +45.44m (normal water level +45m), the water flow to the lake is 212m3/s, the flow downstream is 85m3/s. The Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 5 announced that it has started regulating Ta Trach Lake through a spillway with a flow rate of 300-550m3/s. The flow rate through the hydropower plant is 85m3/s. The total discharge rate is 385-550m3/s. The water level of the Huong River at Kim Long is about 0.9-1.2m (alarm level I at Kim Long is +1m). The regulation will start at 4:30 p.m. on the same day.
This is the fourth time in December that Ta Trach reservoir has implemented the order to regulate water to the downstream of Huong River to increase flood prevention capacity, proactively reduce floods in the coming time, and ensure the safety of the project and the downstream area.
Due to the influence of the cold air strengthening, from December 27, the province will have rain, scattered moderate rain, heavy rain.
