From 2023 to present, the City Farmers' Association has trained many households in Hoa Vang district on a model of raising livestock on thick biological bedding to clean barns, helping livestock and poultry have good disease resistance and reduce the incidence of digestive diseases. In the case of Mr. Nguyen Van Bich (Hien Phuoc village, Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district), thanks to applying this model, the farm is always clean, the chickens are healthy and grow quickly, he sells them twice a year, the price per kg of chicken is 90,000-110,000 VND.

In Bac An village, Hoa Tien commune (Hoa Vang district), Mr. Nguyen Tai is the first household in the commune to successfully implement the long-legged mushroom growing model. Previously, Mr. Tai raised snails, fish, and grew water lilies but without success.

In October 2024, the Danang Biotechnology Center coordinated with the Hoa Tien Commune Farmers' Association to support him in piloting a model of growing long-legged mushrooms. This is a new type of mushroom, researched by the Center, with good adaptability to local climate conditions and great potential for commercial production. Mr. Tai was trained in planting techniques and supported with 1,700 seed spawns, sawdust, and clean soil.

In December 2024, Mr. Tai harvested more than 250 kg of long-legged mushrooms in the first batch and supplied them to many markets in the city. Realizing the initial effectiveness, the Farmers' Association of Hoa Tien commune continued to coordinate with the Center for Biotechnology to train 60 households in the area to develop a long-legged mushroom growing model in the area.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (Van Duong village, Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district) spent nearly 3 million VND per month to buy feed to raise more than 100 chickens, ducks and a pond of red tilapia. However, from 2024 to now, Mr. Hung has not spent much on animal feed due to the successful application of the calcium worm farming model guided by the City Farmers' Association.

Mr. Hung said that black soldier flies lay eggs that hatch into larvae, which are then raised to adulthood and contain a lot of calcium. Using calcium worms as animal feed helps livestock grow healthily, reduces the rate of disease, reduces input feed costs and increases profits for livestock farmers. Each month, his income increases by 7-8 million VND from selling calcium worms.

The project of raising calcium worms for animal feed was implemented by the City Farmers' Association from January 2023. By the end of 2024, the project will be expanded to 184 households in the city. The immediate benefit is that people take advantage of agricultural by-products and kitchen waste to raise worms, contributing to reducing waste discharged into the environment. Many households raise large numbers of calcium worms, in addition to creating a source of feed for livestock and poultry, and also sell them to many people in the city, bringing in a stable income every month.

According to Chairman of the City Farmers' Association Nguyen Huu Thiet, to support farmers in developing economic models, in addition to supporting loans from the Farmers' Support Fund and the Social Policy Bank, the association regularly organizes training courses to transfer science and technology to members.

Typically, in 2024, the association organized more than 100 training courses, coaching, and knowledge and skills development for 4,838 members; established 5 cooperatives, 23 cooperative groups, 50 professional farmer associations and 24 professional farmer branches, creating conditions for members to link up to develop production, contributing to economic development in localities. Based on the achieved results, the association continues to support members to replicate and develop effective agricultural models.

In particular, focusing on training and supporting the development of circular agricultural models to help farmers raise awareness of sustainable production and minimize negative impacts on the environment. Support activities include guidance on organic farming techniques, the use of biological fertilizers, the treatment and reuse of agricultural by-products, and the application of advanced technology in production.
