After 6 years of implementing the Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period of 2017 - 2025" according to Decision No. 939/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, the provincial Women's Union at all levels has helped many women realize their business ideas, thereby contributing to getting rich and affirming the role of women in socio -economic development in the locality.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Nguyet, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, said: Implementing Decision No. 939/QD-TTg dated June 30, 2017 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Supporting women to start a business in the period of 2017 - 2025", the Provincial Women's Union has deployed to 100% of female cadres and members in the whole province. To help members start a business and start a business successfully, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has actively coordinated with relevant departments, branches and units to organize propaganda and mobilize members and women to raise awareness of the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State on start-ups and business development. Thereby, arousing the entrepreneurial spirit, potential and creativity of women, promoting the realization of business ideas and the development of enterprises, cooperatives, individual business households and newly established enterprises managed by women.
In particular, through the annual Women's Entrepreneurship Day program, the association has organized introductions, consultations, and connections for women with business ideas to participate in vocational training classes, business start-up knowledge training, legal support on branding, intellectual property, connection with the banking system, credit institutions for loans, etc. Thereby, it has helped many female members who want to start a business to learn knowledge and do business effectively.

After 6 years of implementing the Prime Minister's Project "Supporting women to start businesses in the period of 2017 - 2025", the Women's Union at all levels in the province has supported knowledge of production and business, management, financial management, marketing, website creation, OCOP product development process, e-commerce for nearly 400 newly established female business owners; established 30 cooperative models, 14 cooperative groups supported by the union at all levels; 1,248 members of cooperative groups, cooperatives, women starting businesses, starting businesses were connected to borrow nearly 44 billion VND from capital sources.
In order to support female members to successfully implement their start-up ideas, from the beginning of 2023 up to now, the Provincial Women's Union has organized 09 conferences to provide knowledge on raising and preventing diseases for livestock and poultry, fruit tree planting techniques for 585 members; launched 06 "Women's Start-up" Clubs and trained on knowledge of business planning, financial management during the start-up process for 420 members of cooperatives and cooperative groups; organized 06 propaganda classes to raise women's awareness of start-ups, business development, and business start-ups; propagated the Party and State's policies and guidelines on start-ups, and promoted start-up examples for 420 members, women, and women start-ups; organized 06 training classes on human resource management knowledge, contract negotiation skills for 455 women start-ups, etc.
The Women's Union launched the 2023 Central-level Women's Startup Competition with the theme "Women starting a business, promoting local resources" to 100% of members, women, cooperatives, cooperatives, and women-owned startups. There were 06 ideas and projects competing at the Central level, including 01 idea winning the Encouragement Prize in the national final round, 01 idea winning the Second Prize and 02 ideas winning the Encouragement Prize in the regional competition. Organizing the preliminary round of the 2023 Women's Startup Competition with the theme "Ha Nam Women starting a business, promoting local resources" with 12 participating projects, the Organizing Committee selected 6 projects to compete in the final round.
In particular, after 6 years of implementing the Prime Minister's Project "Supporting Women to Start a Business in the 2017 - 2025 period", the provincial Women's Union at all levels has supported nearly 100 creative business/startup ideas. Many ideas have clearly demonstrated innovation, creativity, and improvement in production and business, especially for clean, safe, environmentally friendly products, craft village products... with the potential to bring benefits to women and the community. Among them, there are a number of successful ideas/projects that have won awards such as: Project "Developing dairy products from Ha Nam" by Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thoan, Moc Nam commune, Duy Tien town; Project "Closed-loop dairy farming associated with direct trade" by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thinh, Director of Muc Dong Agricultural and Service Cooperative, Trac Van commune, Duy Tien town; Project to Improve Vu Dai Braised Fish by Ms. Pham Thi Anh Ngoc; Project “Nha Xa traditional silk production associated with Lanh Giang temple eco-tourism chain” by Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Lien, Moc Nam commune, Duy Tien town; Project “Linh An black garlic production” by Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, Cong Ly commune, Ly Nhan district…
In the coming time, to effectively promote the Prime Minister's Project "Supporting Women to Start a Business in the 2017-2025 period", the Provincial Women's Union will continue to promote propaganda on the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on start-ups and business start-ups; promote the role and position of women in economic development, build models; support conditions for collective and individual models to have many innovations and developments in start-ups and business start-ups. Promote emulation movements and campaigns to mobilize the internal strength of women of all classes in the province to help each other start-ups and businesses. Coordinate with relevant agencies to organize training, consultation and support for enterprises and individual business households in making production and business plans, registering brands, trademarks, protecting product brands, and registering ownership of local OCOP specialty products. Organize activities to connect product consumption, connect with banks to support women members to borrow capital to invest in starting a business and starting a business.
