Support and remove difficulties for Da Nang in the field of natural resources and environment

On the afternoon of April 25, the working delegation of the Party Committee - Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee had a working session on a number of issues related to the field of Natural Resources and Environment management in Da Nang City. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment: Dang Quoc Khanh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee: Nguyen Van Quang, co-chaired the working session.

The working session focused on evaluating Da Nang's achievements in the field of environmental resources in recent times, the city's orientation in the coming time, and related proposals and recommendations.

According to the report of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Da Nang City, in recent times, along with the city's efforts, Da Nang has always had the support and timely direction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Thanks to that, the management of environmental resources in the city has changed positively; a number of administrative procedures have been shortened and connected; decentralization and delegation of authority in compensation and site clearance work have been promoted. The rate of collection and treatment of urban solid waste meeting standards and regulations is 100%; the rate of industrial parks and export processing zones in operation with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards is 100%. For 3 consecutive years (2020 to 2022), Da Nang has led the country in the results of the Provincial Environmental Protection Index, assessed and announced by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

The city is currently making efforts to implement the "Environmental City" Project for the period 2021-2030, and has identified the city's important political task in 2024 as focusing on implementing the Land Law in Da Nang.

Based on the recommendations and proposals of Da Nang related to many fields such as land, minerals, water resources, decentralization of environmental appraisal authority, etc., the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment acknowledged and said that it will continue to pay attention to resolving, including guiding the city to implement the contents that are still difficult and stuck. Members of the working group of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment also proposed and commented on a number of solutions in the field of natural resources and environment, to help Da Nang promote its potentials and advantages, to continue to develop in the right direction, role and position.
