At the age of 24, he was already a doctoral student.

- As one of the few graduates who were able to study directly in the International Economics PhD program at the University of Economics, VNU at the age of 24, how did Luong Thuy Linh prepare to achieve this impressive achievement and what does she expect from that journey?

I don’t set a goal to achieve anything impressive. For me, studying is simply to understand more about the world , the things I care about and most importantly, to understand myself. Since I was a child, I have loved studying, not because of the pressure to achieve results but because I am curious and happy to discover new knowledge.

Studying for a PhD is a valuable opportunity but also a long and challenging journey. I don't expect anything too big, I just hope to maintain patience, diligence and the spirit of "learning more, learning forever". In the end, learning is not for anyone but for myself to become more mature every day.

- Was your job as a teaching assistant at Dai Nam University affected when you had to balance your busy schedule as a beauty queen, studying, and recently starting a business?

When you really want to do something, you will always find a way. As a young person, I want to take advantage of this period to explore , commit and experience as much as possible. There may be stumbles and failures, but that is the fastest and deepest way to learn.

Being a teaching assistant helps me stay connected to the academic environment, and at the same time, it is an opportunity to practice seriousness, discipline and communication skills. Of course, there are times when it is tiring, but I believe that each experience builds a stronger foundation, not only for my career but also for my way of life.

Expensive lessons from controversy

- The launch of your fashion brand marked a turning point in your career. After the controversy over price and design, how did you adjust your business strategy to meet customer expectations?

I appreciate all feedback because that is how the brand grows. After listening to customers, my team and I have adjusted. Starting a business is not an easy journey, but I believe that sincerity and seriousness will gradually convince customers.

- Participating in the Fix My Food project with UNICEF Vietnam and the video series "Journey of Vietnamese Flavors" in 2025, along with volunteer activities, how has your role in contributing to the community changed after more than 5 years of being crowned Miss World Vietnam?

After 5 years, I realized that I am not only an image representative but also can create positive influence through specific actions. I am more mature in choosing projects, prioritizing educational activities, sustainable development and supporting the younger generation. Being a beauty queen is an opportunity but becoming a useful person is the long-term goal.

- As a former judge and Deputy Head of the Jury of Miss World Vietnam 2022-2023, what qualities do you look for in contestants and how does that reflect your views on the role of a modern beauty queen?

I am always looking for girls who are independent, brave and kind. Physical beauty is important but what makes a beauty queen truly shine is her ability to inspire and create value for the community. The modern beauty queen should not only represent perfection but should be a symbol of effort and sincerity.

- You tried your hand at acting in the movie "Occupy" in 2023 and received mixed reviews. Do you plan to continue developing your acting career and what have you learned from audience feedback?

I appreciate all feedback. It is a valuable experience that helps me better understand my abilities and shortcomings. Appropriation is also my first foray into cinema. If there is a suitable opportunity and I am better prepared, I am still willing to try again. For me, art is not a place to prove myself but a space to grow.

Love story at age 25

- As an introvert, how do you balance your personal life and the pressure from the showbiz spotlight?

I learned to keep some quiet time for myself, whether it be reading time or simply chatting with friends and family. It is important not to let yourself get lost in compliments or expectations. I believe that the more you keep your personal roots, the more resilient and calm you will be in the long journey ahead.

- At the age of 25 with many career achievements, do you feel pressured in finding the right other half? What is the most important criterion when you decide to open up to someone?

I understand the public's concern and always appreciate it. But love is something that needs privacy and maturity. I don't feel pressured but see it as an inevitable part of life. If someone accompanies me, I hope that person is tolerant enough, shares the same values in life and grows together.

- With a busy schedule between studying, business and social activities, how do you find time to take care of yourself and maintain relationships? Do you believe love will come at the right time or is it because of family pressure?

I believe in timing. Each stage of life has its own priorities. My family understands and respects my choices so they never pressure me. I try to spend time with family and friends and most importantly, take care of my mental and physical health. I believe that is the foundation for all success.

- After more than 5 years of being crowned, you once said that the title of Miss helped you "break out of your cocoon" and grow up. Besides the brilliant moments on the Miss stage, what are the moments you feel most proud of and what is your direction for yourself and your career?

The moment that made me proudest was not on stage, but when I received a message from a young person saying that I had inspired him to step out of his comfort zone. That was when I felt I was on the right track. In the future, I want to continue to be the connector between knowledge, art and community so that each step is not only for myself but also creates long-term value for society.
