Completed erection of 6 pole positions of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project, section passing through Lao Cai province

The contractor mobilized maximum human resources and means to speed up construction progress.

According to the investor's assessment, the construction progress has been and is following the schedule. To ensure the objectives of the entire project, the Power Project Management Board 1 requests contractors to focus resources and flexibly apply construction measures to speed up the progress in favorable weather.

According to reports from construction units, up to now, package No. 1, passing through Bao Thang district and some communes of Bao Yen district, has completed the erection of 6/51 column positions and completed the concrete foundation of 30 positions. Package No. 2, passing through Bao Yen district, is in the process of erecting 6/47 positions and completing the concrete foundation of 20 positions.

Workers complete the final stages of assembling the VT24 column.

The contractors committed to the investor to complete the construction of all foundation columns before June 15, complete the erection of all columns on the route before August 5, and complete the wire stretching work before August 2.

The Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project is a national key project that has been approved by the Prime Minister for investment, with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) as the investor and Power Project Management Board 1 as the investor representative. This is a 500kV double-circuit transmission line project with a total length of 229.5 km, with a total of 468 pole foundation locations. The project passes through 4 provinces including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc, with the starting point being the Lao Cai 500kV station and the ending point being the Vinh Yen 500kV station. The project has a total investment of more than 7,410 billion VND.

The Prime Minister issued an order to start construction of the entire transmission line on March 16, 2025, and requested EVN, Power Project Management Board 1, and participating units to urgently deploy to bring the project to the finish line before August 31, 2025.
