According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front's website, at the workshop, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy provided information to clarify some contents of amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution directly related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the draft laws: Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Law, Trade Union Law, Youth Law, Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level.
Accordingly, socio-political organizations (Trade Union, Farmers' Association, Women's Union, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Veterans' Association) operate according to the Charter of each organization; have leadership bodies (Executive Committee, Presidium, Standing Committee, Secretariat), leadership positions (Chairman, Vice Chairman or First Secretary, Secretary).
Socio -political organizations also have their own seals and accounts, ensuring the principle that socio-political organizations operate under the Vietnam Fatherland Front while promoting the initiative and creativity of each organization (relatively independent). Central socio-political organizations are responsible for guiding the functions, tasks, and professional work of local socio-political organizations.
The resolution of the "subordinate" relationship and the promotion of the "proactiveness and creativity" of each member will be specifically regulated in the documents of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; on the agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the provincial and communal levels; on the regulations on the organization and operation of mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State at the central level.
The Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the charters of the organizations will also be studied, amended and supplemented to ensure conformity with the organizational model of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass associations assigned by the Party and State for later arrangement.

According to Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, the draft Law has been amended and supplemented in the direction that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee shall preside over or agree with socio-political organizations in carrying out social supervision and criticism activities; socio-political organizations shall preside over the supervision and criticism contents based on the agreement of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
This provision ensures the principle that socio-political organizations, together with other member organizations of the Democratic Consultative Front, coordinate and unify actions under the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, while promoting the initiative and creativity of each socio-political organization. In addition, to ensure unity and synchronization, the draft Law has simultaneously amended and supplemented the provisions on supervision and criticism of trade unions and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Mr. Thuy said that during the discussion at the National Assembly Hall on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, the majority of National Assembly deputies highly agreed with the amendments and supplements to three articles of the Constitution directly related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the workshop, delegates discussed and gave their opinions on the content of amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution directly related to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Accepting the opinions of the delegates, Vice President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha hoped that the delegates would continue to contribute and accompany the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State. Thereby, helping the amendment and supplement of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution ensure a legal basis, meeting practical requirements in the new situation.
