Hoang Duc returns to training
On the afternoon of October 12, the Vietnamese team continued to practice tactics to prepare for the rematch with Nepal, taking place at 7:30 p.m. on October 14. After being absent yesterday afternoon (October 11), midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc returned to the training ground.
However, sharing with the press, Hoang Duc could not confirm what percentage of recovery he had made, but only when he went on the field could he know the situation.

"Yesterday I was in pain, so I couldn't practice with the team. Today, I'm back. Regarding my recovery, I have to practice with my teammates to see how strong it is. I want to know exactly how much of my body has recovered," Hoang Duc shared.
Hoang Duc did not play a prominent role in Vietnam's 3-1 victory over Nepal, but he still had a hand in a goal. That was the winning goal by Nguyen Van Vi, with a close-range tap-in after the ball bounced off Hoang Duc's tricky left-footed shot.
"The Vietnamese team had a hard-fought victory, but that's football. After that, the whole team learned from the experience to prepare for the return match at Thong Nhat Stadium. We are actively preparing, hoping that the match on October 14 will be good," Hoang Duc confided.
"In the first leg, the Vietnamese team had an advantage in the end of the first half, but could not immediately score another goal. It was not until midway through the second half that we managed to raise the score to 2-1. The whole team has learned from this experience."
'Regret that Quang Hai is absent'
In the October training session, coach Kim Sang-sik called up a series of U.23 Vietnam players, such as goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien, defenders Nguyen Hieu Minh, Nguyen Nhat Minh, Nguyen Phi Hoang, midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac, strikers Nguyen Dinh Bac and Nguyen Thanh Nhan.

The Vietnamese team entered the training session in a relaxed mood.

According to Hoang Duc, the U.23 generation will bring the necessary competitive wind to the Vietnamese team, to promote the transfer of forces.
"In this training session, coach Kim Sang-sik called up many U.23 Vietnam players. This is a positive thing, so that young players can prepare for the 33rd SEA Games taking place at the end of this year. In addition, the team also has good competition between old and new players," Hoang Duc added.
The 27-year-old midfielder also regretted that Nguyen Quang Hai was absent from this training session. After an MRI scan, Quang Hai was determined not to have fully recovered. He was given the opportunity to stay and train with the Hanoi Police Club to monitor the situation further. Quang Hai is expected to return in November.
"I'm sorry that Quang Hai is not in the Vietnam team this time. Hopefully next time, he will recover and return to the team," Hoang Duc commented.
The Vietnamese team will have their last practice session before the match against Nepal tomorrow (October 13). In the match at Thong Nhat Stadium, Hoang Duc and his teammates will play the away team, while Nepal will be the home team.
After 3 matches in Group F of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, the Vietnamese team has 6 points, a goal difference of +3, ranking second in the group. Nepal has 0 points, a goal difference of -5, ranking last in the group.
