Hoang Mai: Donated 694 gifts and 100 bicycles to children in difficult circumstances

On the morning of May 27, Hoang Mai district held the launching ceremony of the Month of Action for Children and children's activities on June 1.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hoang Mai District People's Committee Vo Xuan Trong said: In recent times, Hoang Mai District has always paid attention to the work of protecting, caring for andeducating children; considering human development and training high-quality human resources as the key to realizing the district's development goals. Every year, the Month of Action for Children has become a meaningful highlight not only for children, but also for all those who care about children.

Activities during the Action Month were widely implemented by all levels and sectors and achieved many positive results. The work of protecting and caring for children - especially children in difficult circumstances - was effectively implemented by authorities at all levels, creating conditions for all children to fully exercise their basic rights, integrate into the community, reduce difficulties in life and strive to become excellent students and Uncle Ho's good children.

Currently, in the district, there are 617 children in special circumstances (belonging to 14 groups of children according to the Law on Children), most of whom are disabled children and orphans - they are in great need of attention, sharing and support both materially and spiritually from the community.

To create conditions for children to have a joyful and safe summer with many rich and useful activities, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Vo Xuan Trong requested departments, branches, organizations, and People's Committees of wards to focus on implementing a number of key tasks. In particular, organizing gift giving on the occasion of the Action Month for Children and International Children's Day June 1 to children in special circumstances, children in difficult circumstances, and children living in poor and near-poor households in the district.

Comrade Vo Xuan Trong noted the need to organize safe and healthy summer activities for children such as: cultural, artistic and sports activities; instruct children to participate in age-appropriate labor, social activities, prevent and combat social evils and participate in traffic to ensure absolute safety.

On this occasion, Hoang Mai district presented 694 gifts to children in special circumstances, children in near-poor households and students in Tan Mai flexible classes, with a total cost of more than 300 million VND; at the same time, presented 100 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances at primary and secondary schools in the area.
