Hoang Nguyen Thanh won the Binh Phuoc marathon

On the morning of November 26, in Phuoc Long Town, the first Binh Phuoc - Truong Tuoi Group Marathon 2023 officially kicked off. The tournament was organized by Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper. Coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Phuoc and a number of organizing units.

The Binh Phuoc - Truong Tuoi Group Marathon attracted more than 5,000 people and athletes, including 46 foreign athletes and 800 athletes from 45 provinces and cities nationwide. Notably, the tournament included prominent faces who won the 31st SEA Games gold medal Hoang Nguyen Thanh and the 31st SEA Games bronze medal Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa, former SEA Games champion Pham Thi Binh...

The tournament has 5 distances for both men and women. Specifically, there are more than 2,500 athletes in the 5 km distance; nearly 1,500 athletes in the 10 km distance; more than 1,000 athletes in the 25 km distance; and 129 athletes in the 42 km distance.

"Marathon King" Hoang Nguyen Thanh won brilliantly right in his hometown of Phuoc Long City.

In the men's 42 km distance, the championship belonged to Hoang Nguyen Thanh. In the same distance, Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa, the bronze medalist of SEA Games 31, also won excellently. Both of these athletes are from Binh Phuoc.

Meanwhile, the victories in the 25km professional category belonged to Pham Ngoc Phan (male) and "barefoot queen" Pham Thi Binh (female).

The 5km distance saw the participation of Miss Grand Vietnam Doan Thien An as the tournament’s ambassador, Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Province People’s Committee, and more than 2,500 athletes. The two male and female athletes who won the championship in this distance were runners Nguyen Anh Tri and Pham Thi Thuy Hanh.

In the 10km distance, Ly Nhan Tin (male) and Khuat Phuong Anh (female) also won excellently.

3 excellent athletes won the 42 km distance

Within the framework of this event, the Organizing Committee of the Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group 2023 said that it will allocate 20,000 VND/participant to support forest conservation and development activities with a tree planting ceremony held in Dong Xoai City; support the animal protection fund of Bu Gia Map National Park and give 30 scholarships to poor but studious students in the province.
