On the afternoon of October 29th, at the conference summarizing the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation in vocational education in accounting and finance between the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives from ACCA Vietnam stated that, with the support of the association, colleges in Vietnam can fully train accountants to international standards. The fact that students from a college in Ho Chi Minh City ranked in the top 6 globally in the ACCA certification exam in June 2024 is a testament to this.

According to Ms. Khuat Thi Lien Huong, Head of Training at ACCA Vietnam, in over 20 years of presence in Vietnam, ACCA has collaborated with nearly 50 universities, contributing to the formation of a team of accounting and finance professionals meeting international standards. Since 2023, ACCA has expanded its cooperation to the college sector through a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education, Ministry of Education and Training.
After 2.5 years of implementation, the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4) has been integrated into the VQF Level 5 college program in Vietnam. Currently, collaborative efforts to integrate the foundational program into college training have been implemented in 10 schools. ACCA will continue to support more schools in the future.
This is a breakthrough in vocational education, helping college students access knowledge and skills according to international standards, while also facilitating the recognition of qualifications and articulation into the global labor market.

At the conference, ACCA officially handed over the Vietnamese translation of the Foundation Accounting Program (FIA), helping students overcome language barriers and access the international program effectively.
According to Mr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Vocational Education and Continuing Education, translating all seven subjects of the FIA program into Vietnamese is a strategic step to help colleges integrate global standards into their training programs quickly and effectively.
