6th grade student saves two drowning children

Gia Lai Siu Sam Ban, a 6th grade student in Chu Se district, saw two 6 and 9 year old children struggling in the stream and immediately jumped in to save them.

On May 23, Nguyen Du Primary and Secondary School praised Ban's brave actions in front of the whole school; at the same time, it advised students not to swim in ponds, lakes, or dangerous deep water areas.

At noon three days ago, while passing by the Ia Pet stream flowing through Pan village (Dun commune), Ban heard a cry for help. Discovering two boys struggling in the stream, Ban immediately jumped in and brought them safely to shore.

Previously, in early April, Ia Pa District Youth Union and Nguyen Ba Ngoc Primary School honored 10-year-old Kpa Nguyen for his bravery in saving two 12th graders who were swept away by the Ba River.
