During 2 days (April 16-17), at Starlight Cinema Quy Nhon branch, FPT High School Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) organized the program "Red Memory Land: Red April - the promise of history!", receiving the attention of students and parents.
Exchange with veterans Ngo Van Binh and Ho Xuan Cuong.
This is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). At the same time, it strengthens education on patriotic traditions and national pride to help students better understand the historical value of the resistance war against the US. Thereby, fostering gratitude, a sense of responsibility for the country and the desire to contribute in the young generation.
At the program, more than 300 students of grades 11 and 12 from FPT Quy Nhon High School interacted with historical witnesses - those who directly participated in the battle and watched the film "Tunnels - Sun in the Dark" by director Bui Thac Chuyen.

Ms. Dao Thao Vy - Head of Social Science Group, FPT High School Quy Nhon, Head of the Program Organizing Committee, said that, aiming at the 5 core values of students of the FPT high school system (technology - independence - creativity - experience - respect for individuals), especially the value of experience, the program hopes to create an emotional bridge between the past and the present, between war and peace, to better understand the price of national independence and freedom. At the same time, it contributes to making history education activities more familiar, vivid, promoting the effectiveness of integrated teaching - comprehensive education in schools.

“Through this extracurricular activity, students connect interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and abilities (History - Literature - National Defense and Security Education, Local Education Content) into practical experiences and learning products. After the program, students will make a video report about this experience journey to get regular test scores,” Ms. Dao Thao Vy added.
Meanwhile, according to Mr. Le Hoang Phong - Manager of Starlight Cinema Quy Nhon branch, "Tunnel" has really created an interesting phenomenon at the Starlight cinema system, especially at the Quy Nhon cinema complex. Right from the first days of its release, the film has attracted great attention from audiences of all ages, leading to "sold out" tickets at many screenings - something that was previously quite rare for a film with a historical theme.
As one of the cinema complexes with the largest number of screening rooms in the Central Highlands, Starlight Quy Nhon has flexibly met many screenings with a sudden increase in the number of customers coming to watch movies during peak hours and weekends. Not only Quy Nhon, according to records at other cinema complexes in the Starlight system, the film has also received a large audience, including many young audiences, the Gen Z generation - a good thing for historical films.
“From the perspective of theater management, we are very excited and somewhat surprised that a purely Vietnamese film, exploiting historical and national themes, can touch the emotions of viewers so deeply. This shows that Vietnamese audiences are increasingly paying more attention and respecting cultural and historical values through cinema,” Mr. Le Hoang Phong shared.
