Da Nang and Vingroup cooperate to promote science and technology development

The signing ceremony was held within the framework of the workshop "Artificial Intelligence - New driving force for Da Nang's development" organized by the People's Committee of Da Nang City on May 9 to cooperate in promoting green transformation, sustainable development related to the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the city.

Representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang and Vingroup Corporation signed a cooperation agreement.

Dr. Le Duc Vien - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang said that the purpose of the above cooperation program is to encourage and motivate organizations and individuals with achievements, encourage the emulation movement to develop science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Da Nang according to Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo .

The cooperation content includes giving incentives to individuals with achievements and contributions to science and technology to encourage the movement of emulation of initiatives and solutions to make breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation in Da Nang; implementing activities to promote digital transformation, smart urban management; supporting the improvement of the quality of human resources in science and technology in the city.

Specifically, on encouraging the movement of emulation of initiatives and solutions to make breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation in the city, 10% reduction in fees for using electric vehicles, electric vehicle rentals, and services in the VinGroup ecosystem for individuals with achievements and contributions to science and technology in Da Nang city; supporting travel and accommodation for international experts coming to Da Nang to cooperate in the field of science and technology.

Regarding promoting digital transformation, smart urban management, reducing 10% of electric vehicle service fees for people when traveling to perform public services and medical examination and treatment in Da Nang. Deploying for electric vehicle drivers to participate in providing information, comments, and on-site reflections to the IOC center to serve the direction and operation.

Regarding support for improving the quality of human resources in science and technology in Da Nang, organizing visits and working with research and training facilities such as VinBigdata, VinAI... Organizing for cadres, researchers, and innovative startups in Da Nang to participate in training courses, conferences, seminars, and talks on the fields of artificial intelligence, Bigdata, Blockchain, and IoT.

In the first phase, from May 9, 2025, based on the data provided by the agencies, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang will set up a system to provide incentives for cadres, civil servants and public employees whose initiatives are recognized as having effects and influences on the city (2021 - 2024) with about 250 individuals; individuals who won the "Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation" award and the national technical innovation contest (from 2023 - 2024) with about 50 individuals.

In the coming time, based on the database of additional providing agencies and preferential participation of organizations and enterprises, the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang will continue to establish a system to provide additional incentives for many groups of people, experts, officials, civil servants, tourists as well as incentives for many other services.
