According to Permanent Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, this is the first time the Da Nang People's Committee has organized an in-depth workshop on developing artificial intelligence (AI) applications and attracting investment from AI enterprises in the city. He emphasized that the 4.0 Revolution is profoundly changing all aspects of economic and social life globally.

In particular, AI is emerging as an important platform to promote digital transformation, innovation and increase competitiveness for each country and each locality. AI is an inevitable trend, opening up many new opportunities for cities like Da Nang to optimize management, develop socio-economy and improve the quality of life for people.

With the strategic advantage of favorable geographical location; developed network infrastructure system, IT infrastructure; attractive investment incentives and support policies; high-quality living environment and the determined support of the city government, especially the advantage of young, dynamic and high-quality human resources, Da Nang aims to become the high-tech center of the country with a focus on semiconductors and AI.

“Da Nang is focusing on promoting digital transformation and developing AI applications in the fields of healthcare, education, tourism, logistics, public administrative services and smart cities... in accordance with the goals set out in Conclusion 79-KL/TW and Resolution 43-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on building and developing Da Nang City by 2030, with a vision to 2045,” said Mr. Ho Ky Minh.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, AI development is a long-term, challenging journey, requiring strategic vision and global connectivity; especially the attention to creating favorable policy mechanisms from the government as well as the companionship and desire for constant innovation of the young business community.

Therefore, this workshop is an opportunity for the city to listen to contributions from experts, investors, leading enterprises, and the young business community at home and abroad to perfect an AI development plan with highly practical and feasible solutions, suitable for world trends and the city's specific conditions.

Da Nang City leaders said that they have prepared land, infrastructure, human resources and are continuing to perfect support mechanisms and policies to attract more domestic and international resources, contributing to building a modern, dynamic and sustainable technology ecosystem.
